Memories of the Waning Moon

The Jaime Times Memories of the Waning Moon

It was a memorable walk

You and I underneath the dim bluish sky

Cars were flying lightyears fast, but we were taking it slow.

Hands chained together, good talk, effervescent laughter up in the air.

The street was busy, but we didn’t bother

Walking with no destination, but I felt safe, still

I was with you, that’s enough to savor the moment.

But now, this is just a memory

A wonderful memory

Something I always remember

When the waning moonbeam strikes across my window

When I have to endure my longing alone at night

Whenever I miss you.

Today, tomorrow, I miss you.
